He was born in Recrio village on the Federation frontier. However a flood wipes out the village and he and his sister Emily were forever separated. He is helped by the people in Gotarl and taken in/raised by the Village Chief as his own son. Rickey and Rachel both feel like he is really their brother. He and Rickey are the only to escape their village when it was burnt to cinders by Gizarof. He and Rickey begin their quest to save Rachel though pursued by Cruger.
